Calendar year 2014 is coming to a close. A couple weeks ago, I began ‘Year in Review’ of my photographic activities for the year. A first pass through the year’s group of images took a while, but with just a little hand wringing and pacing of the floor, I managed to whittle my ‘Best Of…’ list down to something like 21-22 images. A little more hand wringing and pacing combined with a l-o-t of clicking back and forth helped me whittle out a few more.
At that point, I decided to enlist some assistance. So, I loaded up the laptop and paid a visit to my 87 yr old mother, and said in my best 10 yr old childhood whiny way….’M-o-o-o-o-o-m……, I need your help.’ After about an hour and a half, I was surprised we were fairly easily able to agree on 11-12 ‘must keeps’ and 2-3 that fell in the ‘close but no cigar’ category. All of which left me with a few undecided.
In the end, what you see are is a Bakers Dozen of images comprised of the following…
– A majority of images I thought should be included, and Mom agreed.
– One or two that I liked and was waffling on but Mom really liked.
– And 2-3 got an edge on others simply because they were among the most +1’d of my images on Google+ over this year (the one social media site on which I actively share my work.)
Hope you enjoy!
