Time Trippin' in my own Photographic History
I've been considering signing up for an online photography class of some sort for some time. In particular, I've been looking for something dealing primarily with B&W photography. I finally settled on 'Black and White Fine Art Photography' at the Brian Peterson School of Photography with Athena Carey as the instructor.
Class opened yesterday, and the first lesson/assignment are posted. As part of the opening salvo, Athena has asked us to provide a short bio of our photographic history. That started a short trip down memory lane and my own experience with B&W photography back in the film days. And that eventually led me to dig out a couple old prints of my favorite images from those days. We're talking circa 1979 here. (Side Note: These images are now older than I was at the time they were shot. Egad!)
Those 2 images follow below. They are pictures of mediocre prints, so not the best quality. One of these days, I'll have to dig out the negatives and have them scanned by someone who knows what they're doing. For now, here's a representative sample of my work from those days....
