Location: County Waterford, Ireland Date/Time Captured: 10/22/2017 @ 08:40 We had an interesting phenomenom for a while during this morning session at Ballydowane. There were essentially 2 levels of cloud cover hovering over the area that seemed to be moving in different directions. One very high level that had frequent breaks in it. The second level was much lower, very thick, and headed our direction. And once the sun rose high enough in the sky to get above that low thick level, it just lit up the underside of the higher level. Notice the strongly formed line of the lower level in the image. Interesting stuff I'm not sure I've seen elsewhere.

Location: County Waterford, Ireland Date/Time Captured: 10/19/2017 @ 17:43 What an evening this turned out to be with Hurricane Irma had passed through Ireland a few days prior and Tropical Storm Brian was due to arrive the following day. How much either of those impacted the sea's behavior I don't know, but it was a-n-g-r-y on this evening. Not sure I've done it's raucous behavior justice, but I can say on a follow up visit, I was able to walk around behind those 2 foreground seastacks and shoot from there. That wasn't going to happen on this visit. Was truly wild to observe.

Location: County Kerry, Ireland Date/Time Captured: 10/14/2017 @ 11:01 This was a bit of an unusual shooting session in that the elements typical of the Irish coastline that I (only) began to appreciate while there were present aplenty at this location....though I struggled a bit to find compositions I liked. This one just begged for a long exposure treatment with the sea behaving rather raucously in the foreground, the offshore islands a little farther out, and the even more distant land mass only moderately visible between/behind more near elements. With the cloud cover present, I saw something of an ethereal scene in front of me.

Ft Lauderdale Park Beach 097, 08/06/2014

Location: Ft Lauderdale, FL, USA Date/Time Captured: 08/06/2014 @ 07:31 My sister and I had traveled to Ft Lauderdale for my Aunt Betty's funeral. Being the early bird I am, I couldn't just sit around the hotel twiddling my thumbs until the celebration of her life ceremonies began, so I dragged the gear over to the nearest beach and spent most of my time shooting a variety of sunrise shots. After doing that for a while, I just happened to look south towards Miami and this l-a-r-g-e cottonball was sitting just offshore just begging to have its portrait shot.
