'On This Day' is a photoblog of images selected for sharing based on the date of capture (MM/DD) matching that of the 'current' day. Many may not meet the criteria of being 'portfolio worthy', but images I enjoy nonetheless and hope others will as well.

Folly Beach 0042, 08/07/2016
Early morning shot from Folly Beach, SC. I believe this is meant to be some sort of erosion control structure to keep the beach from blowing away, but given how much sand had been blowing over it, not sure how effective it acted...IF my assessment of its purpose is accurate.
Had I captured a long exposure and little wider view of this one, I definitely would have gone b&w. But it makes for a nice stock shot in color.
