Though the cloud cover was heavy, it must not have been very thick because, as the sun started it's run to the horizon for the evening, there was a point where the cloud cover took on a warm golden color. In addition, it seemed to act like a warm studio umbrella and shone that color on to the sea. The resulting RAW files had an unusual look to them where significant portions of it also had a warm golden color palette. Seeing the sea in gold was just strange. In the end, I decided to process this one with a minimal approach to the color and used a yellow/gold color as the feature color and took everything else out. This 'minimal color' approach appears to have become something of a phase with me. :)
