Sherkin Island Lighthouse 0016 - 10/18/2017

Location: County Cork, Ireland Date/Time Captured: 10/18/2017 @ 13:15 We had driven to this location in County Cork to shoot the Baltimore Beacon. As in so many other locations in Ireland, not only were there good ops to shoot the primary reason for stopping here, there were other equally interesting possiblities as well. The Sherkin Island Lighthouse, across the bay from the BB was one such opportunity at this stop.

Bodie Island Lighthouse 0110, 04/02/2016

Location: Outer Banks, NC, USA Date/Time Captured: 04/02/2016 @ 20:02 This turned out to be a 'Bodie Day' for me. Captured a decent long exposure mid-day when it was completely overcast, got lucky to snag a couple decent sunset shots, and then knocked this one off after the sun went down. Though the cloud cover had cleared, it was still v-e-r-y humid. And the resulting 'lighthouse dog' surrounding the light itself resulted from the front of my lens having become fogged over while I was shooting...and not catching that right away. Sometimes, such 'mistakes' work in our favor!

Location: Outer Banks, NC, USA Date/Time Captured: 04/02/2016 @ 18:20 Earlier in the day, it had been totally overcast at this location. A half hour prior to this shot, it was broken up fairly well (see previous post), but still fairly cloudy. And at sunset became a thing for the day, only a few 'scud' clouds remained.

Location: Outer Banks, NC, USA Date/Time Captured: 04/02/2016 @ 17:45 It had been totally overcast earlier in the day, but quite conveniently, the cloud cover started to break up as evening approached and started to throw some warm evening colors on the scene. Being able to capture a reflection of the lighthouse in a rather large 'puddle' (small lake?) on the grounds was icing on the cake.
