Location: Charleston, SC, USA Date/Time Captured: 08/08/2016 20:22 The Ravenel Bridge was one of the locations we shot as part of a 'Long Exposure Workshop' in the summer of 2016. We had spent one session here during the workshop, and I returned solo a couple days later. The first session....though I captured some images I like well enough...wasn't exactly conducive to long exposures as the clouds present were SO slow moving that it was almost impossible to see they'd moved at all in a 30 second exposure. This evening's session started out pretty much the same. But just as I was beginning to consider wrapping the session up, these 'scud' clouds, as I call them, appeared and were just scooting across the sky. With the very last vestige's of sunset color present, and accented by the city lighting that had come on, all the waiting proved worthwhile.

Location: Folly Beach, SC, USA Date/Time Captured: 08/07/2016 I had spotted this sort of malformed S curve the previous morning. But by the time I did, the 'good light' was gone for the day. So, I made plans right then to come back again on this day specifically to capture this image. Fortunately, the clouds were moving along just spiffy and it all combined for somewhat of an abstract long exposure. Though a fan of pretty much any 'abstract' opportunities, I'm always most intrigued when Mother Nature provides these 'live and in living color' opportunities.
